"Future sounds like past toys" nasce da un'idea del musicista e circuit-bender EraSer in collaborazione con il videoartista e vj ape5, e si basa sul concetto che la musica contemporanea e del futuro “suona di” giocattolo del passato. Il lavoro di ricerca parte dalla sperimentazione del suono, attraverso la modifica, l'errore, il "piegamento" (bent) di giocattoli, e punta ad arrivare alla ricerca della loro audiovisualizzazione in un estetica glitch, creando un dialogo analogico digitale (dianalog) tra audio e video, tra "past toys" e "new toys". La parte sonora del progetto si avvale dell'arte del circuit bending a cura ed opera dell'artista EraSer con l'utilizzo di giocattoli da lui stesso modificati in strumenti musicali che interagiscono, attraverso microcontroller e analisi elettroacustica, con hardware/software di video sintesi e controller autocostruiti ad opera e cura di ape5 .

"Future sounds like past toys" is the idea of the musician and circuit-bender EraSer in collaboration with VJ Ape5. It is based on the concept that both contemporary and future music actually do sound like a toy from the past. The research starts from the experiment of sound, changing the error, the bending of toys, and aims to arrive at the reseach of their audiovisualisation in an aesthetic glitch, creating a both digital an analog (dianalog) dialoue between audio and video, between past toys and new toys. The audible part of the project makes use of the art of circuit-bending and works by artist EraSer, with use of tos that have been modified by himself into musical instruments that interact through microcontrollers and electro-acoustic analysis, with hardware/software of video summaries and controllers made by Ape5.
