Andrea Petrachi a.k.a. HIMATIC e'nato a Vigevano (pv) il 27/02/1975, ma ha trascorso i suoi primi 23 anni a Lecce. E' qui che sin da piccolo ha iniziato ad assemblare robot utilizzando vecchi giocattoli e oggetti di uso comune. All'eta' di 17 anni forma una hardcore band con la quale suonera'sino allo scioglimento della stessa avvenuto nel 1997,dopo numerosi concerti nel Salento ed in giro per l' italia. Contestualmente disegna e realizza locandine per le attivita' e i concerti del C.S.O.A. Stazione 117 di Lecce. A 23 anni si trasferisce a Milano e inizia a lavorare come Montatore Video presso la RAI TV, impiego che svolge tuttora. Nonostante cio' costruire Robot/giocattolo rimane la sua piu'profonda passione. Autodidatta in tutto (musica, editing video, grafica e assemblage) il suo lavoro trae ispirazione dalla Science Fiction e dai cartoni animati giapponesi dei primi anni 80, ed e' basato sull'assemblaggio di oggetti vintage, giocattoli, parti metalliche e materiale da riciclo. Andrea Petrachi a.k.a. HIMATIC He was born in Vigevano (PV) on 27.02.1975, but he spent his first 23 years in Lecce. And 'here since childhood has begun to assemble robots using old toys and everyday objects. At Age 'of 17 years founded  hardcore band with which play since 1997, after several concerts in and around Salento' s Italy. Contextually designs and produces posters for the activities' and concerts of CSOA Station 117 of Lecce.
At 23 he moved to Milan and started working as a video editor in the  RAI TV, still his work nowadays. Despite that  'build robot / toy  remains his passion.
Self-taught in everything (music, video editing, graphics and assemblage) his work is inspired by Science Fiction and Japanese cartoons from the early 80's, and it 's based on the assembly of vintage items, toys  and recycled materials . Precisely for this reason each "sculpture" has its own unique history and isnt' easily replicated.
