Max Mondini

"AMICO ?"

Max Mondini works and lives between London and Milan.
This work is a mannequin with mechanical art installed onto it and by pressing a button located on his abdomen it wraps its little mechanical arms around spectators, simulating a hug.  This gesture (which is usually full of human emotion) when done by a mechanical mannequin is full of sterile feeling, completely emotionless: a mechanical grip and nothing more,  the robot will embrace everyone with the same energy, exactly like a production line.
