"NEWULMDESIGN"
The NewUlmDesign project has, as its point of reference, the school of art and trade ‘Ulm’, founded in Germany, 1953, by the architect max Bill who was a Bauhaus student. The institute’s philosophy was to concentrate on the continuity of methods and criteria adopted by Bauhaus, school of art and design, in Dessau, that provided the students with didactic preparation orientated chiefly on the practical side and integrating it with all the disciplines pertaining to artistic performance, industrial art included, characterized by an unusual design. The school worked in close synergy with companies present in the area, designing for them patent prototypes (concept design), absolutely original in form and function. Starting with these foundations, Francesco De Stefano wanted to confront a new way of architectonic conception and so the fulcrum of the design/planning is not only mechatronics but also having an emotional component which can reveal itself vital for the success of a work of art.
Francesco has both graphic and industrial design knowledge and qualifications. He is specialized in design and industrial planning/designing, in the automotive sector and Aversa. At the moment he’s working on the RAD method (Rapid Application Development) for fast development of software and web server applications, enabling the realization a workgroup platform for project managers.
The software that he mainly uses for CAD designing is Corel Designer for the pliminary idea, then moves it in 2D to Rhinoceros for the solid structure modeling, and finally manages the CAE documentation, rendering, sectioning and analyzing by means of advanced software like UGS and Pro-E.
