roBOt 04, Electro Militia is back

ELECTRO MILITIA
Call for entry for roBOt04 volunteers

Anybody is capable of watching or judging a dj set or a live set. But during an event like a Festival the final result – which is the quality of artists’ exhibition – is purely the consequence of hard work. A type of work that involves many professions, each very different from one another, that sometimes aren’t event noticed from the inexperienced eye, but that truly make a difference for a positive outcome.

These professions are at it’s most useful when used in a similar situation, that is the world of events and the cultural industry. roBOt has now reached it’s third edition, and confirms itself once more as an event of national relevance able to include crowds and contents so different from one another, with a unique and recognizable attitude.

Working as a volounteer for roBOt  means – to be honest – having to work very hard and sometimes working long and unusual hours, solving unexpected problems, and never having to get tired. But at the same time it means contributing to an important cultural project, living side by side to some of the most important artists and technicians of the club culture, taking on a challenge that revives the nowadays stagnant cultural air we breathe.

Using your own energy and ideas in a world, that is cultural event planning, where first off you must consider innovation, quality, breaking boundaries whilst maintaining precision and reliability can certainly be an important occasion to gain experience for a new future in this area that is always in evolution and more complexed.

This is the overall sense of this operation ELECTRO MILITIA put together by roBOt 04: the creation of a team of volunteers formed by students and young people that are passionate about electronic music, digital arts and cinema, who can give a decisive and qualified contribution to the positive outcome of the festival, whilst acquiring experience in the field.

Search for a role that works for you:

Information/ Hospitality desk

This work group gives out information on how to participate in the Festival and welcomes vistors and spectators, at the hospitality desk that you will be responsible for, where visitors come to require passes or simply ask for some information regarding the numerous events in program.

Usher

Usher positions require taking care of the crowds in the rooms of Palazzo Re Enzo and the Communal Theatre. They will have to manage the crowds at the entrances and control the behaviour of the spectators in the two locations which are of great historical and artistic importance, which, that roBOt is lucky enough to have once more for this third edition. This is a fundamental role to guarantee the correct turn out of the Festival and to make the spectators feel welcome and at ease in every situation.

Distribution
The mission is to distribute all the informative and advertising material in the locations indicated from the organizers, as well as interacting with passers by inviting and incentivising them to participate to the many events in the Festival’s four day program. It is important that you are a people person and able to indentify potential spectators of a Festival like ours.

Technicians
This role is the glue that holds together the entire Festival. It is the largest, hard-working and essential group of volunteers for robot 04. The tasks and duties are various: assembly and disassembly of the technical equipment, runner, set up of the rooms and the technical systems used for the concerts and installations, and much more. This may be the busiest work group but it is most definitely the most formative experience if one thinks that a future in the event business is in one’s horizon.
