  • Friday 30

    Palazzo Re Enzo

    19.00 - 21.00

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.
Arduino can sense the environment by receiving input from a variety of sensors and can affect its surroundings by controlling lights, motors, and other actuators.

At roBOt04 we’ll be seeing a series of projects around the world. We’ll be attempting to describe the state of art of the Arduino ecosystem and why some consider Arduino and Processing among the most interesting things occurring in the world of art over the last 20 years.

Costantino Bongiorno:
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico (Polytechnic) institute in Milan. Starting his work experience in the utensil machine industry soon wetted his interest for automation technology and domotics (domestic robotics). He came into contact with the world of micro-controls and Arduino. He has organized workshops and meetings for “persone che fanno cose strane con l’elettricità” - Dorkbot, Virale (‘people that do strange things with electricity’).
Constantino is an interaction designer and trainer within the Arduino team and together with Cogitanz he builds interactive experiences.
