An event not to be missed: on October 12th, ROBOT will launch its new edition at Palazzo Re Enzo with the preview of the 2019 edition of ROBOT Festival. Guests for the night, the Australian Francis Inferno Orchestra and Vienna born and raised Dorian Concept.
Francis Inferno Orchestra comes from Melbourne, had honcho, with his pal Fantastic Man, of the Superconscious label. This project highly resonate with his eccentric approach to dance music, caught in between past and future of the genre. Pivotal figure of the underground scene in Melbourne, FIO’s set are a lesson in the history of house and techno music, that highlights the artist respect for the past, without being slave to it. After his 2014 debut album “A New Way of Living”, FIO has kept his dj and producer career rolling with a series of gigs, 12″ and remixes.
Oliver Thomas Johnson, aka Dorian Concept, producer and keyboardist, is one of the most peculiar talents of his generation. After experimenting with production software, piano and sax during his teenage years, he started studying multimedia art at Uni, and caught the attention of the online audience thanks to his Youtube videos, showcasing his skills on the microKORG. He left studying in order to pursue a more serious music career, and in few years he gained the support of tastemakers such as Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Mary Ann Hobbs. After the experience at Red Bull Music Academy, a tour with Flying Lotus, his relapse has been published by Ninja Tune and Brainfeeder.
