Since 1990, an absolute innovator in the most radical forms of dub (alongside Justin Broadrick in the fundamental ICE and Techno Animal), dancehall (his primary outlet The Bug, through which he redefined the sound of London), jazzcore (‘Loco’ by his band GOD, since 1991 forever among the most extreme sonic experiences one can endure), hardcore techno (Curse of the Golden Vampire, again with Broadrick), and dubstep (King Midas Sound). Under his full name lie his deepest explorations into the depths of radical ambient: ‘Sub Zero’ is the sonic equivalent of James Cameron solo at the deepest point of the ocean.
